Soccer, once again, has come and gone!

Ethan got to play with his good friend Mason again for the third year in a row! They have so much fun and very similar soccer techniques! (run around, follow the team, smile, have fun, but don't make too much contact with the ball)

Funny Conversations...................

I walked into the bathroom to find Ethan playing in my bathroom sink. There was water and soap filled to the brim of the sink and all over the counter and everything on the counter. I said......
Me: Ethan you made a huge mess what are you doing?
Ethan: Mom, I'm just doing science and sometimes it's messy!

Yea I probably did that. (when accused of doing something naughty)

I found Ethan downstairs with lot's of candy wrappers and I asked him why he went and helped himself to the candy cupboard with asking me first (which is our rule) He said, Mom since you are so tired because of the baby in your tummy I didn't want to bother you to ask you.

He is getting very smart with getting his way. These are some examples...................
Mylie since you are being so good today I'm going to let you watch TV. (I don't like them watching a lot of TV and so if he says it this way he is just being kind to his little sister!)

Mylie frequently comes running upstairs while they are playing downstairs and asks for pink milk (strawberry milk) for her and Ethan. (Ethan's idea, I'm sure) She will later bring both sippy cups back upstairs to be washed. (again Ethan's idea)

Any time Ethan really wants something or is very thankful for something I did for him or allowed him to do he calls me the most beautiful girl in the world! He also has a song he made up about how beautiful I am. (It says "Mommy is so beautiful" over and over again) Mylie sings it with him now most of the time. Even if I am just in a bad mood sometimes they both break out is song to cheer me up. It works! :) I love these kids!

Lake Powell 2009

Kayak rides!

Ethan and Kali the Kayak buddies. Ethan even learned to paddle and steer his own kayak this year! He could leave the houseboat, paddle around for a bit, then come back and park the kayak on the back of the houseboat!

This was one of the several hikes during the trip. Me and Mylie hung out in the boat and took this picture. If you blow it up you can see Jason way up high! Way to go hikers!

Jeff and Mylie looking at the fish. Mylie loved anything gross this year! Jeff caught several fish in a bucket and Mylie would put both of her arms it and love touching all the fish! She also held them and threw them back in the lake! YUCK!

Our neighbors were nice enough to let us use their tramp. Everybody had lots of fun!

Mimmy was nice enough to paddle Mylie around on this tube for hours and hours! Thanks Mim!

My uncle Tim found a great hike for us all to go on! We had a great time and got to see tons of frogs!

Mylie liked the frogs the best! I think that we had atleast 5 fatalaties or "sleeping frogs" along the way. Mylie could catch them herself and would try to hold as many as she could at the same time! So cute!
