Air Show!

We had the great opportunity to go to the Air Show with my mom dad Jase and very briefly Chelsea Jake Tay and baby D. The kids loved the airplanes my mom got for them! Ethan still practices the stunts the real planes did with his plastic planes!

Mylie doing sniffy while watching the crazy airplanes. She absolutely loved it! She wanted to hold the airplanes just about as bad as she wanted to hold the birds at Bear Lake!

Grandma and Ethan moment! Ethan has loved his Grandma as much as me and sometimes more at times since he was about 1 years old. So cute!

Jeff loved the air show as much or maybe even more than the kids! He hadn't been to one since he was a kid but now I think we will be attending them regularly. He kept asking me to take more and more pictures of the fly byes!

Ethan being Grandpa's buddy! He was so excited when my dad first told him about the air show coming up. Thanks for the idea dad, we had a great time!

Mylie Jeff and Jase watching the airplane in the distance!

Waving hi and clapping. We really had a great time! Thanks mom and dad for letting us tag along and especially for saving us spots to sit! Jeff must be waving at me?

Baby D just trying to tolerate the noise. I felt so bad for their little family. It was quite the trek up to the airshow driving and then walking to where we were sitting. They got there just in time for the thunderbirds and both kids screamed hysterically! I love when you try to do something fun for the kids and it goes horribly wrong! Baby D did catch some ZZZZ's after he got the enormous ear muffs on, although Tay had to be removed from the situation!

What a cute mini army dude, pre-loud fly byes!

Thunderbirds! It really is amazing that they don't crash into each other!

This was, what Mylie called, the "big scary spider" She thought it was funny until Ethan joined in telling her it was going to come down and eat her! She still didn't cry and really enjoyed the whole thing!

One of the tricks Ethan imitates with his plastic planes!

Grandpa Jeff, and E checking out the planes. As they approached each plane Ethan would ask my dad to tell all about each one. My dad then would tell us all about the history of the plane, current uses of the plane, and of course the name! It was amazing. Way to go dad! Ethan loved it and I too was impressed with your vast knowledge! Thanks again for the fun day!

Logan

Playing in the hot tub at our hotel in Logan. Even though we had already spent 4 nights of the week in hotels, the kids had no problem staying in just one more. Especially because it had a pool and breakfast in the morning. (Our two main requirements :)

Ethan posing with the statues!

Rock climbing dude! We got kicked out of our hotel at 1 and Jeff didn't get done working until 3 so we hiked (and yes I do mean hiked) to a "nearby" park the lovely hotel guy told us about. I did tell him we were walking, didn't I? :)

Posing pretty on the slide

Bear Lake

Jeff had a work trip to Logan last week so we decided to stay in Bear Lake for one night and then go with him to Logan for Mon and Tues and stay in a hotel! I wasn't really up for another trip but we rarely see Jeff with school work and church stuff so if he travels we try to go with him. The water was very cold still but the air was nice and we had a great time! Thanks mom and dad for letting us stay in your cabin!

Mylie loved getting her hands and feet all muddy!

Ethan didn't seem to notice the temperature of the water!

Mylie getting dirty again.

Ethan posing by his "sand castles" He worked really hard on these beauties and wanted a picture. I wasn't feeling wonderful so I just let him keep trying on his own. He didn't seem to mind. Bad mom moment, I know, I should have really helped him build something cool but he was happy and proud the out come!

Mylie posing on the 4-wheeler.

The highlight was feeding and chasing the birds. Mylie really just wanted to hold one and kept on insisting that we chase them and catch one for her.

Luring them in! Jeff turned out to be quite the bird whisperer! Well, it was either him or the popcorn he was using :)

My two little cuties! I love when they pose together happily!

They insisted on doing a silly face picture after. Do ya think Mylie looked at Ethan first to see how to do a silly face?

Jeff trying to catch a bird for Mylie. Mylie waiting patiently.

Mylie trying to do the job herself. We just weren't fast enough :)

Cute daddy/daughter moment!

It's a......................................

GIRL
We actually found out a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't had time to blog about it yet! Shocking eh? We are so excited to have another girl! Both Ethan and Mylie are so happy and give her lots of kisses and hugs! I have now started to feel her move around a lot which is very comforting after our Oregon experience and the latest experience that I will talk about now. Right after we got home from Oregon I decided that I wanted to go into my regular doctor to do another ultrasound just to make sure everthing was okay. This was only three days after the previous ultrasound so we really thought everything was okay. The doctor went to listen for the heartbeat while we were waiting for the ultrasound room to become available. He couldn't find it! He listened for a long time and nothing. He then said, "well this isn't good, I should be able to find the heartbeat easily at this point," and then he said things like, "where is your husband, can we call him and have him come in for the ultrasound?" also, "when did you miscarry last time," "15 weeks" I said. "Oh so you are about the same far along this time, I am so sorry" Then he left me alone in the room for about 15 minutes waiting for the ultrasound to confirm the inevitable. Well...........he finally starts the ultrasound, I am already crying, and then there she is! Moving around, measuring normal, and heart beating perfectly! The doctor says, "Well, I was wrong, everything looks great! Sorry about the scare!" Words cannot express the feelings I felt! I left still crying but very relieved and happy!

Last minute road trip to Oregon?

Jeff's aunt Dolly passed away a little sooner then expected. The funeral was in Oregon and everything was getting finalized while we were in pocatello. As we researched flights for send Jeff up there for the funeral we realized that for the price of his flight we could drive all of us up there stay in hotels for 4 nights and make a fun family trip out of it. Well, it really wasn't worth driving home from pocatello on Monday just to turn around and leave the next day back the same direction to go to Oregon so we decided to leave from there and head to Oregon!

We had so much fun! The kids loved that we stayed in a different hotel every night and they got to try a new pool every day! It wasn't all fun though, we got to baker city, Oregon at about midnight on monday night. I started to bleed during the night and we thought for sure we had lost the baby. It was a horrible night! This city was tiny. There was no way there was a hospital and it was very doubtful that there was even an instacare. We searched on the internet to find anything and couldn't find a thing! We were forced to wait until morning. The next big cities were about and hour and a half in either direction over dark mountain ranges and major construction. The next morning we got an appointment for an ultrasound that ended up costing us $250 because we were out of network. Still thinking we lost the baby we had to wait until 11am for our appointment. As soon as the tech starten the ultrasound the baby rolled over and waved at us! We were so relieved! The tech said that everything looked great and he couldn't see any reason for bleeding. So we carried on with our adventure to Oregon!

We got to see cousins Coleyn and Alex and new cousin Eevee! (not in picture)

All of us at the gravesite

Just a pretty field and old barn. This was taken while driving. I wish I could have stopped and taken the picture but there really wasn't a place to stop.

Ethan swinging at Jeff's uncle's house.

This is the view from Jeff's uncle's deck! How would you like to wake up to this every morning! The picture doesn't even do it justice. It was absolutely beautiful up there!

This is the drive to his uncles house!

The kids had so much fun in the car! I really though it was going to be horrible seeing that we were going to drive about 24 hours in 4 days. They were great! We never even brought out a movie for them to watch!

Memorial Weekend

This is the group this year for memorial weekend up in pocatello! I love Mylie's silly faces she comes up with!

Here is us not so silly. We have made it sort of a tradition to go to pocatello for memorial weekend to decorate the graves and plant flowers in Jeff's grandma's flower beds.

There is a picture of Jeff in this same tree and about the same age on his grandmas wall. I should have got a picture of that to compare. So cute! They actually do look rather similar except that Jeff has longer, and very blond hair!

Some of the gang at the graves!

Fun at home!

Mylie has come up with some fabulous ensambles in her day but I think this one takes the cake!

Ethan decided that he wanted Mylie and I to come to his pretty shop one day. We followed him into Mylie's room where he had dumped out all of her pretty hair things and was ready to beautify us. This was the result! Mylie has about 10 flowers in her hair that you can't see! He would only pose in this picture if he could pose like a ninja!

Ethan on a two wheeler!

So a couple weeks ago all of Ethan's friends learned how to ride their two wheelers without their training wheels. Ethan said that he would try when he was 7 or 8. He really didn't have a lot of interest in even attempting it. I worked with him a couple times for about a minute but he seemed to have no balance and really no drive to learn. I decided that we would just wait until he wanted to learn. Well, the next day, He was in front riding all his various bikes and scooters while I was talking to our neighbors out front when all of a sudden he yells, "hey mom look at me!" I look out in the cul de sac and he is riding his two wheeler without training wheels the whole length of the circle! I was so proud of him! I also love the fact that I didn't have to run after him hunched over to help him learn! (That is not fun pregnant) Way to go Ethan! He is now a pro and rides all the time!
He learned on his cousin Kali's old bike. He now calls it his bike. I hope that we can switch him back to his more manly "rocket" one day!

Liberty Park for Friday Lunch!

Mylie posing on a rock!

Feeding ducks! My mom decided that for friday lunch this week we would go to Liberty part. We were going to play in the rivers but they were not up and running just yet so we fed ducks and went on the rides instead!

Mylie wanted to hold the ducks so bad! I really think if I was able to catch one and give it to her that she would have no problem holding it.

Cute brother sister moment!

Weston and Grandma bought the kids tickets to go on the rides. Ethan and Mylie couldn't have been happier! I can't wait for Lagoon this year. I think they will both love it!

Ethan in his car.

We got to do a few extra rides because Tayler decided the rides weren't for him. My kids weren't too upset having to ride some more!

Grandpa and baby D just hanging out!

Weston went on the ferris wheel with E and My! I couldn't get a picture showing how happy Mylie is to be on a ride but atleast you can see her cute hand waving to everybody!

Here is Taylers only ride. You can see how happy he is about being there! Maybe not the year for Lagoon!

Closer up cute shot of uncle Wes and the kiddos! Thanks again for the tickets mom and Wes! The kids still talk about it!

Flying in the airplanes. Aren't you suppose to teach your kids to keep their arms and legs in at all times? Well not us, we encourage high fives!

So happy! I love that Ethan will now dare do pretty much anything. He even scares me at times! And I love that Mylie will dare do anything her big brother does!
