Preschool field trip to the Firestation!

Fireman Ethan!

Spraying the hose! How cool is that?

All the junior firefighters! Max, Mason, Ethan and Mylie.

Firefighter Mylie!

Yea for snow!

So I really don't like winter but I am always excited for the first snow. Especially when it is great snowman snow. Ethan was really excited as well because we had just bought him new snow clothes. Mylie on the other hand was not so excited. She absolutely refused to put on any snow clothes and nothing more than her sweat pants and jacket and that was mostly by force. She also refused to wear any sort of shoes. So, seeing that Jeff was at church meetings all morning, this is the best snowman we could make while holding Mylie! Ethan took this picture because Mylie wouldn't stop saying cheese until he did.

My little stud muffin posing proudly by our awesome snowman!

Showing off new snow clothes.

Soccer is officially over!

Elephant Parade

Every year we try to make it to the 1 minute long elephant parade. It is so much fun even though is is very short.

Sorry again Chels for cutting of your head. I was trying to hurry and get a picture of all the kids before I was ran over by an elephant and aimed a little low.

And on to better times.............

This is Mylie with her "cool dudes" (sunglasses) and her "munkin" as she calls them!

Mylie loves to sit on the potty! I hope this is a good sign. She even peed once, although she looked at me wondering what I was so excited about.

Thanks everybody for all of your love and support during out sad times. We received so many flowers, meals, treats, calls and comments on the blog that it was overwhelming! Thank you so much! It is great to know that we have such great friends and family. There are even a couple beautiful bouqets of flowers that are not in this picture. I will have to try to get a shot of them too. (Notice Mylie in the background smiling)

I love this picture. I don't let them get messy like this very often due to my obsession with keeping them clean, so I had to capture it!

Cool clouds Jeff noticed!

Jeff is almost done with the deck project. It was a much bigger project then I anticipated. It is done at least enough for us to enjoy some dinners on it. Doesn't it look great? I will post more pictures when it is actually done. Next year some time Jeff?

We went to a reproduction medicine picnic (sounds exciting right?) It actually is lots of fun and Ethan got to be spiderman for the night!

I love when they fall asleep cuddling.

Cute cuddling again!

I was trying to get some stuff done on the computer the other day and Mylie was playing in the play room next to the office. She was being so good that I decided I better check on her and this is what I found!

This is our silly little Mylie. I saw her sitting there in her brothers socks and shoes being her funny little self and had to take a picture. This is the smile she chose! It goes well with the outfit I think.

Sad news..........not fun to report.

Well, we hadn't even done an official post to tell everyone that I don't talk to a lot that we were pregnant. We did in-vitro fertilization for the third time and were way excited to find out that it actually worked for the third time. We were very excited and really planned on being done with our happy family of five. I had my 15 week check up last friday and was told we should be able to find out if it is a boy or a girl. I was so excited for this appointment and was waiting for it to make the blog announcement. Well, things quickly changed. The doctor couldn't find the heartbeat initially and proceeded to do an ultrasound. I was then suddenly given the horrible news that nobody wants to hear. He pointed to the screen and said that is where the heart should be beating and that is when I lost it. I couldn't stop crying and really thought that we had made it past the scary first trimester. We ended up having a D+C on Sunday and I am recovering well. Oh well, life throws challenges at you to help you grow, right? I truly believe this and we are really trying to grow from this and stay positive in our little family. I hate the idea of posting this on my blog but I thought that it may help to stop some akward conversations in the future. I don't mind talking about it, but I hate making others feel akward when they don't know. So spread the news, if you don't mind. Our future plans are on hold for now in case anyone is wondering. We are planning on enjoying the upcoming holidays with our two wonderful and beautiful kids that we are very thankful to be blessed with. It's a miracle that we even have them! Thank you to everyone around us for all of the love and support! We truly have the best family and friends around and appreciate all that you have done to help us through this challenge!
