In addition to the slideshow..........

So I really have been wanting to take pictures of the kids for a long time now. I would much rather take them outside because the lighting is usually better. But due the this horrible winter that will never come to a close that is not really an option. Anyway, after dressing Mylie up in her new, way cute, dress from Chelsea and finally convincing Ethan to wear something besides his "carnival clothes" (This is what he calls his Cardinal shirt and shorts Jeff brought him back from St. Louis) I only got two pictures of Ethan and lots of cute ones of Mylie holding a battery. I was changing the batteries in the camera so that I could take all of these cute pictures and Mylie decided she needed to hold a battery really bad. I decided to let her so that she would not start crying and look sad in her pictures. When I started taking pictures I forgot to take it away from her until after the pictures were done. Lovely eh? I hope this gets easier as they get older! I still love how some of the pictures turned out. I will have to see how hard it is to photo shop the battery out or I will just have to crop the pictures. I love the whole dress and her little legs showing so I will have to try again later.

At the end of the photo shoot Ethan's friends showed up at the back door. They all came bursting through the door saying "Ethan, we need you to come and play with us" I could tell Ethan was really excited but then he said, "hmmmmm let me think about this for a minute" All of his friends just stared at him wondering what he was doing the whole time Ethan has his finger tapping on his cheek while deep in thought. Then he finally said "okay" and went to play. He is so funny sometimes! His friends asked what we were doing and I told them we were taking pictures. They all wanted to get there picture taken and this is the result. I love it! They are all so cute together! What a fun neighborhood! I love having so many good friends for Ethan and for me!

Saturday

Sooooooooooooooo on Saturday I decided that it may possibly end up being the longest day in the history of my life. Let me first start off by saying that I do not get bored easily. There is always a million things on my list to do that I could do. But when Jeff decides to study for his test at home and wants it to be quiet and Mylie doesn't let me accomplish anything on my list, let's just say the days become a little longer. So I decided we needed an outing of some sort. I called Chelsea, knowing that Jake is usually working of the house, thinking that she may need an outing as well. We ended up taking the kids bowling and to Carl's Jr. It was lots of fun and helped the day to go by a little bit faster. Thanks Chels and Tay!

Happy Birthday Jeff!!!

Today is my cute little hubby's birthday! I love him sooooo much! He is such a great man! His is a wonderful husband to me and a great father to our kids. He always works so hard to help us to have a great life. He is currently working full time, going to school to get his MBA full time and serving in our ward's Bishopric. And after all of that, he still finds time to play with the kids and rub my feet! I love you Jeffy! Thanks for all you do! (P.S. thanks for all the calls, presents and cookies you are all appreciated)

After the party.................

After the party my mom was wowing us all with her strength and flexibility. We all tried to copy but I think she out did us in every way!

Jeff and Weston in a very competitive leg wrestle!

My dad in mid flip losing a leg wrestle to the champion, Weston.

And this is my proudest moment! My mom has always had freakish strength in her arms and legs. She can beat most men in her arm and leg wrestles but check this out. I won this leg wrestle so fast that she is merely a losing blur! What a great picture! I think that you can even see her mouth trying to form a scream of defeat!

Happy Birthday Mylie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My little My My is 1 year old today! This year has flown by! I can't believe it! She is such a cutie pie! I love her so much and I am so happy that she joined our family! We had a great party today with all of mine and Jeff's family. (minus the Roarks, the Frazier's of AZ and the Frazier's of WA who were greatly missed!) We had a Hawaiian Luau and had Hawaiian Haystacks and cake and ice cream. I loved having a luau in the middle of the winter because it is so depressing when the snow just keeps coming!

We have been decorating Ethan's door for his birthdays so why not make it a tradition!

This is Ethan singing Happy Birthday to Mylie when she first woke up this morning. It was so cute! I think she is trying to sing with him!

This is how Mylie started her big day! She slept in until almost 9:00! She never does that!

This is how we decorated the house. Jeff even found a Hawaiian radio station over the internet directly from Hawaii so we could have authentic music playing for the Luau!

This is Mylie's flip flops in the sand cake! I think it turned out okay.

Palm tree cookies complete with coconuts! I couldn't figure out the leaf tip thingamajogger Jylaire! Sorry, I shouldn't even admit that I got the idea from you the way they turned out. They tasted great with your recipe though!

The pineapple cookies turned out pretty cute!

Mylie opening presents. Well.....................Mylie watching Ethan open her presents. She didn't seem to mind too much. She would rather play with the toys anyway! Thanks everybody for the presents they all were great!

Mylie played with this balloon most of the time during the opening of the presents!

My dad seems to fall asleep at every family gathering no matter what is going on around him. My mom caught it on camera this time! I think I will make it a new goal to take a picture of my dad sleeping at every party.

Here is my pathetic attempt at making a pineapple pinata! I try to be creative like Kim but this is all I've got. I know..........it looks more like the fake lemon juice containers you buy at the store. If only that were the theme of the party I would be doing great!

Mylie enjoying her cake. I was so proud of her when she didn't even really get her shirt dirty. She is definitely my daughter!

My cute Grandma and Grandpa Clark even made it down for the festivities! It was great to see them! Aren't they cute?
