Last minute road trip to Oregon?

Jeff's aunt Dolly passed away a little sooner then expected. The funeral was in Oregon and everything was getting finalized while we were in pocatello. As we researched flights for send Jeff up there for the funeral we realized that for the price of his flight we could drive all of us up there stay in hotels for 4 nights and make a fun family trip out of it. Well, it really wasn't worth driving home from pocatello on Monday just to turn around and leave the next day back the same direction to go to Oregon so we decided to leave from there and head to Oregon!

We had so much fun! The kids loved that we stayed in a different hotel every night and they got to try a new pool every day! It wasn't all fun though, we got to baker city, Oregon at about midnight on monday night. I started to bleed during the night and we thought for sure we had lost the baby. It was a horrible night! This city was tiny. There was no way there was a hospital and it was very doubtful that there was even an instacare. We searched on the internet to find anything and couldn't find a thing! We were forced to wait until morning. The next big cities were about and hour and a half in either direction over dark mountain ranges and major construction. The next morning we got an appointment for an ultrasound that ended up costing us $250 because we were out of network. Still thinking we lost the baby we had to wait until 11am for our appointment. As soon as the tech starten the ultrasound the baby rolled over and waved at us! We were so relieved! The tech said that everything looked great and he couldn't see any reason for bleeding. So we carried on with our adventure to Oregon!

We got to see cousins Coleyn and Alex and new cousin Eevee! (not in picture)

All of us at the gravesite

Just a pretty field and old barn. This was taken while driving. I wish I could have stopped and taken the picture but there really wasn't a place to stop.

Ethan swinging at Jeff's uncle's house.

This is the view from Jeff's uncle's deck! How would you like to wake up to this every morning! The picture doesn't even do it justice. It was absolutely beautiful up there!

This is the drive to his uncles house!

The kids had so much fun in the car! I really though it was going to be horrible seeing that we were going to drive about 24 hours in 4 days. They were great! We never even brought out a movie for them to watch!

Wow Amy, I can't even imagine all of this craziness. I am so glad that your little girl is fine. She already knows how to scare her mom. I have a feeling I know what her little personality will be like :) You will have to teach me the trick to keeping kids that happy in a car for that long!
